the days are long and the years are short.  18 summers is what we get.  with this one we’re down to 6

i mentioned recently having only 4 things listed for my daily docket.  this is one reason for item number 4;  be available for my teen girl.

when summer was winding down and all the fall activity was ramping up, some questions came from both without and within; “have you figured things out?  gotten the rest needed?  ready to return to work? what is your current ministry?”  it was that last question that the Maker of my soul most graciously whispered His answer: the ministry of being available.

 

-being available for my girl whose schooday ends by 11.

-being available for the friend who needs a bit of time on our couch.

-being available for my boys soccer games and cross country meets.

-being available for the neighbor’s need to chat.

-being available for impromptu trips to see balloons.

-being available for the deep soul work taking place in the wilderness.

-being available for the God of the universe to direct the next step
