Hi! my life is filled full with love from my man Jeremy along with Hannah, Zeke, Daniel and our fluffy Saint Bernard. i’ve been surprised by Joy in the noise of the city and quiet of the mountains and spend my days continually chasing after it amidst the stuff of life. This is where i write about what i discover along the way. i was always better at creative writing in school because there is freedom from all the rules, and i like freedom from rules. so you will find my writing reflects that, mostly on purpose. thank you for grace
A little note about this space
If you were to knock on my front door, i would open it with
“Hello! come on in. can i get you a cup of tea?”
and the floors would be in terrible shape. the paint is wearing off the 100 year old wood and don’t take off your shoes because we’ve been having trouble with splinters lately. we’d sit down at my tiny kitchen table and i’d move books and dishes out of your way. we’d sit there amidst the messes and undone-ness of this house and i’d pray that i would be given the grace to forget and God would grant my request and we’d have a nice chat. and when you leave and i remember the real state of things, i would say a prayer of thanks that He grants courage and joy and a friend who will come over anyways.
my online home here is not much different. it is not as sophisticated as the other ‘houses’ on the block, instead it’s rather simple and a bit unfinished. the substance of the words is where i spend my time and i pray you find depth here, encouragement and hope.
welcome! glad you stopped by!
